Victor Yushchenko researches his genealogy and he does not rule out that his family connects with family of Ivan Mazepa.

The head of the state said this on the air of Zhytomyr Oblast television Radio Company, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

The head of the state said that the mother of the last ataman has a surname Yushchenko  and she was a native of the native village of the President – Khoruzhevka village.
