Some 152 settlements in five Ukrainian regions were left without electricity due to snowstorms overnight Friday, Feb 9.
"From February 8 to February 9, 152 settlements in five regions (Chernivtsi – 89, Ivano-Frankivsk – 32, Ternopil – 25, Chernihiv – 3 and Sumy – 3) were left without electricity due to the safety power transmission line system actuation as a result of the deterioration of weather conditions (heavy snow and gusts of wind)," the press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.
